Heartland is an eight-level WAD developed exclusively for the Eternity Engine, created by Paul DeBruyne (skillsaw). It features extensive use of EDF, in order to provide an enhanced roster of enemies and weapons. Most of the new monsters are adapted from the Realm 667 "Beastiary", and the new overhaul weapons are provided by Xaser. Heartland All music for this WAD is composed by Stuart Rynn (stewboy).

The first realese candidate of the WAD realesed on 4 March, 2021. The final version of the WAD was realesed on 25 March, 2021 and were then uploaded to /idgames archive.

New Monsters

Catharsi
An Imp-like creature with 80 health points that shoots a faster projectiles than Imp at once, and drop grenade when you killed them that would explode in a couple of second, potentially hurting nearby enemies. Unless you manage to gib them first.
Cybruiser
Baron of Hell mixed with Cyberdemon. This monster have 500 health points and the ablity of this monster is identical to Cyberdemon: Shoots rockets and have damage resistant against rockets.
Rocket Zombie
A possessed human that shoots rockets with their rocket launcher, though their health points is only 30, so they are fairly easy to kill.
Suicide Bomber
A zombie with 45 health points and a stick of dynamite that seek to the player and explode when gets too close, and he's also explode when player kill them, potentially hurting nearby enemies.
Grell
A floating monsters with 70 health points, it's very similar to Cacodemon.
Tortured Soul
A variant of Pain Elemental with 550 health points, instead of shoots Lost Soul to the player, their attack is "poisoning" the player.

New Weapons

Flamethrower
A weapon with short range, and hurts the player if use too close to a wall or monsters. It replace the Plasma Gun.
Cluster Bomb Launcher
shoots a cluster of bomb that detonated when getting impact to walls or monsters. It replace the BFG-9000.
