Joe Wilcox, alias Sillysoft (sometimes spelled "Sillysft"), was a mapper and programmer involved in the Doom community in the mid-1990s, and was the founder of and lead engineer at Simply Silly Software. His company became a contractor for multiple projects under shovelware publisher WizardWorks.

Joe is recorded by PC Zone journalist David McCandless as having been a semi-finalist contestant in the Deathmatch '95 tournament, present in the backrooms of the Judgment Day party in Redmond, Washington.[2]
