Klooni is a mod for Wolfenstein 3D created by KFH Games released on December 8, 2007 for MS-DOS. The intent of the mod is a recasting of DOOM from within the Wolfenstein 3D engine. This includes all the graphics, sounds and music and even the adoption of the game's pallete, requiring a higher resolution than stock Wolfenstein. Most essential features from DOOM are present, within the limitations of the engine, most notably doors opening vertically. The mod features 60 standard levels.

Starting from version 1.3, the game is playable through SDL. The most recent version, 1.5, was released on March 17, 2012, which is based on the Wolf4SDL source port. It is designed to be moddable, so that other authors can provide their own unique level sets.

Expansion packs

Perhaps rather uniquely, Klooni has had multiple mapsets released. They all work with the SDL port, but should also be playable in DOS if you copied the mod files over to the main Klooni folder.

Demonoid

The first mapset for Klooni, developed by Megabyte. It was released on May 19, 2008.

The mod features 10 new levels, notorious for their difficulty.

Earth Anomaly

The second mapset for Klooni, developed by Serpens. It was released on May 25, 2008.

The mod contains 10 new levels and a relatively extensive storyline, including intermissions after each floor. The mapset suffers from poor intermission writing.

Excursion to Erebus

The third and last mapset today for Klooni, developed by Codetech8. It was released on July 31, 2011.

Made at the same time Megabyte put together Demonoid, the map set was finished in late 2008 but not released until Klooni's SDL port saw the light of day in mid-2011.

The mod has 10 new levels featured, playable if extracted into Klooni's folder.
