Kobal (titled "Hellspawn" on the intermission screen) is a single-level PWAD for Doom II, meant for limit-removing ports that was released on December 1, 2007 by Shadowman. It uses the music track "Tears" from The King of Fighters '99 and includes replacement sprites for the demon, imp, and baron of Hell. It is set in a ruined gothic fortress, the first of many maps in this style that Shadowman would go on to make over the years.

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the yellow key building, in the maze at the southwest end, use the southwest switch, then head north and use the west wall to find a soul sphere. (sector 325)
  2. In the room with crates at the southwest end, get to the highest crates and step on the stack that has a switch plate on it. This will reveal a teleporter on the east wall. Maneuver there and you will teleport to a hall with rockets and a megaarmor. (sector 599)
  3. In the northwest area, after using the three switches, go to the northeast corner of the area and lower the wall to find a plasma gun and energy cell. (sector 802)
  4. In the southeast area with the crates in water, head to the northeast side and head west to a skull switch. After using it, get to the southwest part of the area and take the steps here up to the west. Use the terminal on the west wall to lower the north wall for an energy cell. (sector 919)
  5. In the northeast area, head to the left side and go through the stained glass in the middle of the north wall to find a stimpack, an energy cell, and rockets. (sector 1060)

Bugs[edit]
