Korax shooting a group of fireballs at the player
Korax taunts the player at the start of every hub, sometimes in cryptic messages.

Korax is the second Serpent Rider and the final boss of Hexen. He has six arms, red eyes, vicious-looking face, and a long tail. He has 5000 hit points, and he is a slow moving monster, despite his danger level.

Korax is a challenging opponent. He can shoot six projectiles at once, usually the same projectiles fired by other enemies, such as Reyvers lava balls, Chaos Serpent Fireballs, etc. He also has the ability to manipulate the field around, and can cause floors to sink into lava, summon fireball shooters, and even send spikes rising from the ground! Finally, at the last section, Korax will summon ghosts versions of diferent monsters (Ettin, Centaur, brown and green Chaos Serpent), and teleport around, making defeating him more difficult (unlike D'Sparil he can telefrag the player, but his teleportations follow a certain sequence making it predictable for the player).

After he takes enough damage in the first room, he teleports away and sends waves of enemies against the player. The player must eliminate these before the door will open and lead them to Korax again.

When he finally dies, several spirits (the same ones from the Wraithverge) will burst out of Korax's stomach and roam around, and the exit portal leading to the end of the game will be opened.

Korax also appears at the beginning of each hub in the original game, with the exception of the Winnowing Hall (though he appears at the start of Seven Portals, the level after Winnowing Hall), where his face emerges from a flaming wall of sorts and taunts the player(and allowing the player to hear his voice). His face will then fade from the wall, and the wall itself will fade away to let the player proceed into the hub itself.

Korax's name is derived from Corvus corax, the scientific name for the Common Raven. The C in corax is replaced with a K.
