LMPIT

From DoomWiki.org

LMPIT (sometimes LMP-IT) is an editing utility for Doom and Doom II demos by Simon Howard (Fraggle). It was developed "somewhere around 1998-2000" but not released until May 21, 2005. It runs on MS-DOS using the CWSDPMI DOS extender and includes full source code, but an attempt by axdoomer to port it to a more modern OS was unsuccessful.[1] He did however consider it "the best demo editor out there to remove pauses without desynch", although not in all situations.[2][3]

Features[edit]

  • Header editing (change viewpoint, skill level, etc)
  • Demo extraction insertion (although I don't think this works quite properly)
  • Statistics display
  • Shortening demos
  • Savegame and pause removal
