Legacy (IRC channel)

#legacy is the official channel for the Doom Legacy source port. It was registered on the Freenode IRC network on January 11th, 2004 by xiO. Current channel operators are Planky, Dennis Meuwissen (Exl) and Trevor Primmett (iori).
Other regulars on the channel include Matthew McGee (AgentSpork), am88b, DarkWolf, Dean Joseph (deathz0r), Lee Wallis (DooMAD), James Denny (DooMGoaT), DrKill, Frades, GhostlyDeath, HumanBones and _sLydE_.
#legacy also has a resident bot, Demis, which is used to both store information and generally insult people.
As is often the case with IRC channels, #legacy's conversation is of a light hearted and somewhat irrational nature. Very little is taken seriously and the conversation rarely involves Legacy as a topic.
Multiplayer
The #Legacy Doom Launcher, written by xiO, is a plugin for mIRC. It allows people in #legacy to host and join multiplayer internet games in Doom Legacy.
