MAP01: Insurgents is the first map of Deus Vult. It was designed by Huy "Doom Marine" Pham and uses the music track "Main Title from Terminator 2" by Brad Fiedel.

Secrets
- Step onto the platform where you can get the blue key and look north. There will be an eye in the far corner. Run here as quickly as possible to teleport into a secret room, where you must shoot Barney the Dinosaur to reveal cacodemons. There is some health and ammo in this room as well. To exit this area, shoot one of the target signs where the cacodemons came from. (sector 190)

- In the same area as Secret #2, flip the switch in the northern part of the room. This will not only open the next door but will also reveal a teleporter in the room's southeast corner. Use this teleporter, go down the hall and use the silver wall at the end to find a teleporter back. (sector 290)
- Before exiting the hall with Secret #3, if you look at the switch leading there from behind, you will notice a solid wall between the lasers with lots of computer wiring. Press this wall and return to where you teleported to find an energy cell. (sector 477)
- When you go across the door that opens up after pressing the switch mentioned in Secret #3, turn around and run northwest to a lowered platform with another energy cell. (sector 558)
- In the lava area separating the base from the marble room, use the lift to head up to the marble room, enter it, then quickly fall back into the lava. Take this lift up and open the face for a teleporter, telefragging a cyberdemon who is around some ammo. (sector 517)
- Head east of Secret #8 and use the wall here for a lift. Ride it up and use the teleporter, allowing you to telefrag the arch-viles as well as claim a backpack. (sector 748)
- Now, head southeast of Secret #8, and lower the wall under the Arch-vile face that has two tall red torches. Open this face up for a secret teleporter and partial invisibility. The teleporter will take you to the huge lava-filled area behind the switch at the top of the lift, where you can teleport multiple times and telefrag the cyberdemons here. (sector 531)
- When you first enter the lava-filled area accessible from Secret #10, teleport until you reach the rock in the southeast corner. Instead of moving off the platform to teleport, find the teleporter pad on this rock to a secret room, where after turning around and going through the fake wall with goatse you will get a computer area map.
