MAP02: The Fortified Castle is the second map of The Invaders. It was designed by Dominique Lavergne and uses the music track "".

Secrets[edit]
- Just before the first teleporter there are alcoves to the west and east. The west one's wall lowers on pressing to reveal a box of shotgun shells (easy skill) or a box of bullets (medium and hard skills) and a switch. (sector 50)
- Pressing the switch in #1 lowers the wall opposite, revealing three imps (easy skill), two Hell knights (medium skill) or three Hell knights (hard skill), as well as three medikits (two on hard skill), 8 shotgun shells (4 on easy skill), either a chaingun and a box of bullets (easy skill) or a rocket launcher and a box of rockets (medium and hard skills), and a soul sphere (hard skill only). (sector 52)
- After going through the first teleporter, step on the pile of skulls and candles to the east. A wall lowers to the south, allowing access to the blue key area which is necessary in order to complete the level. (sector 67)
- To reach the yellow key it is necessary to lower a grave to reveal a path behind it. Along this path are two lifts - take the one to left, and go through the door. Ahead of you is a secret door leading to 2-4 imps, 1-3 medikits, some ammo and a soul sphere (medium skill) or a megasphere (hard skill). (sector 353)
- In the room after the blue door, the south-eastern grave lowers on stepping on it, revealing a path to a room with four tombs and a path surround most of the room. Head round the eastern arm of the path and head into the first alcove - the door will open, and on walking through it, the tomb will lower, revealing an armor (megaarmor on hard skill). Walking on the tomb opens up a door in the alcove symmetrically opposite, leading to four imps, some ammo, a backpack (not on easy skill), and a teleporter to the outside area with several monsters and items, as well as a soul sphere (not on easy skill). - Just before the bridge leading to the exit is a room containing 2-4 imps, some ammo, two medikits, a soul sphere, and (on hard skill) a megasphere. (sector 355)
