MAP03: Kitchen is the third map of Daedalus: Alien Defense. It was designed by Jani Saksa (Sir Robin) and uses the music track MM_04.MID by Rich Nagel.

Walkthrough
Essentials
First visit
Go through the double doors into the main dining hall. At the far end of the hall, directly opposite the travel tube, is a canteen. Jump onto the counter, smash one of the windows with your pistol or fist, and jump into the waste disposal shaft, which leads to Trash Bay and ensures you are adequately armed for the upcoming fight.
Second visit
In the main dining hall, there is a staircase on the south wall. Follow this downstairs to the kitchen, and downstairs again to the meat store. Outside the door, you will hear a pitched battle taking place, and the door will open. Kill the monsters inside. The Hell knight will drop an engineering security pass, which you will need to gain access to Engine Room. Secrets
- In the main dining hall, one of the chairs of the long tables with circular cutouts is set at a crooked angle. Open the wall behind it for two medikits and a security armor. (sector 212)
Bugs
- The security pass held by the Hell knight in the freezer room may not drop when it is killed. This makes the engine room inaccessible by any means other than the noclip cheat. It is unknown if this is due to source port conflicts. (Tested on GZDoom 4.3.3 and 4.4.2)
