MAP04: Holding Area is the fourth map of Doom 64 for Doom II. It was designed by Da Werecat and uses the music track " ".

Secrets

  1. Before using the switch to take the lift down, open the wall behind you to get a berserk pack. (sector 89)
  2. At the southeast end, there is a square monitor in the middle that has a wall rising and lowering around it. When the wall has lowered, shoot the monitor, then get to the northwest side to get a chaingun behind a rising and lowering floor. (sector 67)
  3. Climb the steps to the western section of the map and use the monitor on the northwest wall. This will open up two secret compartments with rockets, boxes of rockets, and a green armor. Both compartments count as one secret. (sector 96)
  4. In the lower of the two secret compartments that make up Secret #3, use the terminal to lower a teleporter in the room below. Go to that room and take the teleporter to get a rocket launcher. (sector 112)
  5. To reach the door south of Secret #4, you need to tinker with the switches that raise and lower the round platforms on the balcony. The north switch in each set raises it up by one, while the south switch will lower it all the way. From the initial setting, use the north switch once in the first set, the south switch once and north switch twice in the second set, and the north switch twice in the last set (leave the third switch alone). Go back to Secret #4 and the platforms should be aligned properly so that you can run across them to the door, which opens when you get there. A plasma gun and energy cell packs are beyond the door. (sector 36)
