MAP05: The Wheel is the fifth map of The Enigma Episode. It was designed by Jim Flynn and uses the music track " ".

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Jump to the lower area, into the darkness. Keep moving forward until you see an open window. Cross it and jump again. You are going to be into the first ring area. Keep moving forward until you reach the middle part of the ring, where you will see a dusty elevator on the left. Press it and go up. You will see a teleporter in front of you. Once you cross it, you will be in one of the silver platform, again. This time, run forward and build speed to jump into the little window below. Once you do so, look for a skull switch next to you and press it. A wall will lower down slightly to make your path available through a thin ledge. Walk on it and do the same action as before: build speed and jump into the following, bigger window.

Now exit the room through one of the black walls to each side of you, then, repeat the process of going back to the starting area. This time there will be various platform connecting the whole area, which will allow you to walk to the red key, positioned right on the west platform. Once you pick it up, go back into the ring area and walk down south. You will find the red door easily. Inside there will be an archvile waiting, and behind it there is a secret door. Open it and go through it.

Now repeat the same process you did before to get the red key. Once you go inside the windowed room with the psychedelic pillar, you will find the blue key. Once you have it, return to the ring area and look for one of the entrances into the exterior. Kill the enemies and go through the silver elevator. Behind the tech wall is the switch that opens the exit. You will have to press in and wait for it to lower down. Once you do that, take the portal next to it. It will teleport you to the final area, where you can go up a platform and reach the exit switch.
