MAP07: Unusual Friendship is the seventh map of Cyberdreams. It was designed by Gonzalo Pérez de la Ossa.

Walkthrough

Map of Unusual Friendship

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials

You will be greeted by one to three mancubi at the start, depending on your skill level. A cyberdemon is behind your starting point on a higher platform. You need to dodge projectiles while provoking monster infighting, and the mancubi should lose to the cyberdemon eventually. When that happens, the back wall at the south end will lower, so dodge the rockets while this occurs. Once the back wall lowers, the steps above will have two to five arachnotrons depending on your skill level. Again, provoke monster infighting between the cyberdemon and the arachnotrons. When the last arachnotron falls, a narrow bridge forms over the nukage at the south end. While avoiding the cyberdemon, cross the bridge and enter the portal, which telefrags the cyberdemon and registers you the level secret. Head north from the platform and east to reach the exit. Note that if you fall into the nukage at any point, you will not be able to escape.

Secrets

1. The sector with the cyberdemon counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 2)
