MAP08: 54-pit is the eighth map of Japanese Community Project. It was designed by Toooooasty and uses a music track by rockit25. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:00.

Other points of interestEdit


  1. In the corner shaped room with the cluster of cacodemons and the ledge with hitscanners, climb to the ledge. Navigate around the tech pillars and you will reach a hidden room at the end, containing a lite amp and two medikits. (sector 362)
  2. In the same hall as secret 3, but on the opposite side, there is a misaligned wall texture. This is a fake wall, and behind it are two former sergeants and some armor bonuses. (sector 1078)
  3. Upon going through the blue door at the end of the level, you activate a walkover linedef that lowers the green wall in the room directly to the west of the one with the blue door. It released an arch-vile and opened the path to the yellow key. (sector 557)
  4. After finding the optional yellow key (see secret 3), open the three bars. This leads into a hallway system, at the end of which is a large room with lots of ammo and some health. (sector 156) Beware of the two barons in the hallway.

Inspiration and developmentEdit


This level prominently features automap art of a comic page (read left-to-right, and written in English) showing a part of Doomguy's progression through the level. As he fights the last demons of the level ("he proceed alone to remnants hunting"), our hero steps across the doorway to the lab and discovers revenants being apparently grown in vats ("however found lot of trouble in the old lab"). His thoughts are written in narration box as "what the ... creepy bone", "it's Hell joke?", and "must destroy this plase". As he punches the computer screen of a device captioned "REVENANT GENERATOR", his final thoughts are written as "and it remains still a lot ... I guess".
