MAP08: Lies is the eighth map of Shallow World. It was designed by Peter Blacha (Shawny) and uses the music track "Ice" by James Paddock (Jimmy). The par time defined in MAPINFO is 10:10.

- Open the door behind the start to get a health bonus. (sector 1451)
- In the northeast room with the bookshelves and skulls above them, find the skull with lit eyes and use the bookshelf under it to find a soul sphere. (sector 523)
- After going up the southeast steps, press the switch and enter the compartment with the mancubus. Use the wall with the lightning symbol to find a rocket launcher behind you. (sector 4076)
- A room at the south end is open with a BFG9000. You can enter the room to trigger the secret, but do not pick up the BFG9000 as you cannot escape and will die after trying to pick it up. (sector 645)
- At the southwest end, enter the lava and find a rocket launcher and rockets in a nearby room. (sector 1083)
- At the conveyor belt with crushers, pass the first crusher and enter the opening compartment to the north. Open the west wall to get stimpacks and health bonuses. (sector 4358)
