MAP08: Surge is the eighth map of MAYhem 2018: Orange Edition. It was designed by Ozku and uses the music track "Goin' Down the Fast Way," originally composed by Lee Jackson for Rise of the Triad.

Secrets
- Once you have the orange key, open the orange door and head east, south, then west to the next switch. As the hall goes further, use the next switch to lower the floor around you. Now return to the high platform that opened the big door to the north and jump eastward to the block, then from there, eastward again to the backpack and the teleporter. (sector 92)
- Once you have the orange key, open the orange door and head east and south through the hall. At the next corner you come to, press on the light to reveal a new corridor. Follow the armor bonuses until you reach the outside area where you can get a soul sphere. (sector 131)
- When you reach the first batch of former humans near the starting point, locate the computer terminal with a dead marine in front of it. Use this terminal, then head west and southwest through the hall. You can find a chaingun, and a switch leading further into the secret, allowing you to collect health bonuses, a box of ammo, and shotgun shells along the way. (sector 161)
- Open the orange door near the entrance to Secret #1 and take the steps to the west up and around, hopping the gap to the next set of stairs and then hopping the next gap to the switch which opens the bars below. Go through and just before you reach the outside area, turn southward and go south as much as you can. Turn northwest and press use on the wired section of wall to hear a lift lower. Quickly run north into the next room and southwest through the new opening where you will find another switch. Use this switch and quickly run north through the hall you came from and through the new hall to the north. You will find health bonuses, an orange armor, and a shortcut to the green key room.
