MAP09: Felis Vulgaris is the ninth map of The Mapwich 2: The Mapwichening. It was designed by Cyano Blugron and Mark McGill-Smith (TheMisterCat), and uses the music track "Darkest Hour" from TNT: Revilution, composed by Tristan Clark.
Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- When you teleport to the top of the main area, jump to the beams to the north and use them to get to the soul sphere pillar. (sector 1248)
- In the main area, head west when you unlock the way, then return and head north through the bars that lower. Down here, get the megasphere. (sector 1552)
- At the southernmost end, head to the switch, then jump the platforms going east, south, and west. Head north to get a BFG9000. (sector 2366)
A monster closet (sector 856) contains imps that should teleport to the room after the yellow door when you use the switch to the south. However the linedefs with the teleport action are not flagged as a repeatable action so when a monster walks over, the imps cannot teleport.
In the room below the yellow skull, there are two teleporters. If you take the eastern one, doors will open in monster closets outside the map so some monsters will teleport. However two doors (sectors 1228 and 1987) are unable to open due to the geometry of the closets, keeping the monsters stuck there.
