MAP09: Futile Ascent is the ninth map of Three's a Crowd. It was designed by Scypek2 and uses the music track "Stomping Grounds" by Glen Christie (Crunchynut44).

- When you find the BFG9000, a small arrow nearby points to the north wall. Open it to find a teleporter that takes you to the northern ledge with a megasphere and a backpack. (sector 219)
