Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Open the door in front of you to enter a crate room with some zombies, then go to the north end of the room to find three silver lifts—the middle lift goes up to a room with a super shotgun (and an arch-vile on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels), while the left and right lifts go to rooms with locked doors that you will open later. Regardless of which lift you pick, head north until you reach a junction with three doors then continue north to a bridge with nukage pits on either side. Go through the door at the north-east end and head straight forward to a lift, ride it up and head south through another door, kill any waiting demons then go east into the next room to face shotgun guys, zombiemen and an arachnotron. Go through the eastern door and climb the steps to face another arachnotron, then head south and west through the room to get the yellow keycard. Watch out for the revenants that are released behind you as you reach the key.
Return to the bridge and open the yellow door at the north-west end, go straight forward through another door then head south up some steps to an L-shaped ledge. Open the door in the south-west corner and kill the shotgun guys in the room ahead, then press the switch to activate a lift and use it to reach the floor above where you can step across to the red keycard; this will open a closet behind you with various monsters, some of which will teleport to a hidden compartment containing a chainsaw. Go to the area east of the super shotgun room and open the red door here, kill the lost soul and spectres waiting ahead then go forward to a tall room with zombies overhead.
Flip the switch in the middle of the room to lower a lift behind you with a chaingunner, ride it up and follow the ledge round to the north-west end to find another switch that will open four walls. Enter the southern room and kill any waiting zombies, flip the switch to lower two lifts on either side then open the door at the top to enter a small room with a switch. Press the switch then go back down to the red door to find that an alcove containing chaingunners and the blue keycard has opened next to it. With the blue key, go to the area west of the super shotgun and open the blue door to face one to three demons, then open the door behind them to find a zombieman guarding the exit switch.
Other points of interest[edit]
The two buttons at the south end of the bridge will raise shotgun guys and demons from the nukage on either side.
After opening the doors at the top of the tall room past the red door, enter the eastern room and blow up the barrels to reach a megasphere.
Secrets[edit]
Official[edit]
- At the bridge between the nukage pits, go to the north-east end and press the skull wall here to lower a lift that goes up to a backpack. (sector 293)
- Step through the east wall of secret #1 to get a plasma gun. (sector 294)
- Enter the blue room east of secrets #1 and #2, then open the "F" wall in the south-east corner to get a radiation shielding suit. (sector 148)
- Go up the steps to the yellow key room until they turn to the east. Open the damaged west wall at this point to find shotgun guys and barrels, which conceal stimpacks, a medikit, and two shotgun shells. (sector 182)
- After going through the yellow door, ride the lift to your left up then open the west wall to find shotgun shells, a berserk pack, two energy cells, and three stimpacks. (sector 241)
- On the L-shaped ledge before the red key room, open the skull wall at the south-east end to get a radiation suit. (sector 246)
- Also on the L-shaped ledge, open the skull wall between the doors to get a megaarmor. (sector 248)
- Open the back wall of secret #7 to reveal a teleporter to the nukage pit behind you, where you can get a BFG9000. (sector 249)
Non-official[edit]
- Ride the western lift in the starting area up, then open the circuit wall in the north-east corner to find a supercharge.
Bugs[edit]
The switch in the south-east corner of the map (linedef 1525) has an invisible trigger line placed in front of it which blocks use attempts at the switch unless the player gets closer to the button than usually needed to get a successful press.
