This level occupies the map slot MAP10. For other maps which occupy this slot, see Category:MAP10.

MAP10: Maru is the tenth map of Sunlust. It was designed by Zachary Stephens (Ribbiks), and uses the music track "Awaken" from the game Xenogears.

Walkthrough

Map of Maru
Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials

Other points of interest

The exit kills the player, forcing a pistol start of the next map.

Secrets

  1. In the southwest of the map, just south of the large rectangular structure whose entrance is initially blocked by three columns, you can drop down off the raised platforms that form most of the map to a small enclosed area in the blue water surrounding the level. There's a backpack (sector 613) and a teleporter to return you to the main level.
  2. In the northern room where a blue switch lets you drop down to the exit area, there's a hidden door in the northwest of the room leading to the blue armor. (sector 94)
  3. From the raised platform to the west of the entrance to that northern room, you can strafe-run into an otherwise inaccessible structure in the centre of the map containing a teleporter that takes you to. (sector 770)
