MAP11: A Plague o' Both Your Shotguns is the eleventh map of NOVA II. It was designed by Jazz Mickle (jmickle), who also composed the level's music track, "Mint Rock Glow."

Secrets

  1. At the very beginning of the map, head around and to the southeast to a teleporter. In this area, press a sequence of switches to gain a single armor bonus. Note that if you return to this area after opening the exit, the teleporter to this area is sealed off permanently. (sector 522)
  2. When you reach the dead marine corpse, open the white wall nearby for shotgun shells and a green armor. (sector 19)
  3. At the yellow key, you can drop into the nukage on the north side, then take a lift up to reach a backpack. (sector 148)
  4. At the yellow key, you can drop into the nukage on the north side, then take the teleporter to a door. Enter to find Hell knights and revenants in a room with shotgun shells, armor bonuses, and a soul sphere. (sector 424)
  5. Open the yellow door and follow the path for a bit, then turn east and spot a lion switch to shoot. Once you shoot it, you can go through the newly-opened passage to find a soul sphere and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 367)
  6. In the large room just outside of the blue key room, walk up the steps and make an angled jump to reach the area outside. Grab a radiation suit and head northeast through the nukage, grabbing the BFG9000 and the energy cell packs on the other side. Note that you will be trapped in a hellish area with a lot of monsters, and if you brave it far enough you can reach Secret #7. (sector 543)
  7. At the end of the hellish area mentioned above, once you finish it, you will reach a secret area with weapons, ammo, a soul sphere, and a computer area map. (sector 608)

Bugs

Due to the death exit in this map, it is not possible to obtain the soul sphere at the end without cheating.
