- Between the starting room and the room with the rocket launcher, there are three scarlet recesses in the walls. When all three are pressed (signified by the three bars lowering in front of a larger scarlet niche by the rocket launcher), they lower a stair to the final circular room, with plenty of health and armor bonuses, rockets, shells and a berserk pack. Watch for the teleporting Hell knights and baron of Hell. (sector 40)
- In the corridor north of the room with the lone tech lamp, where imps attack you from a raised catwalk, check the east side for a switch that will open the wall on the other side of the catwalk. Grab the health bonuses and the armor bonuses. (sector 697)
- After you raise the stairs in the octagonal room, climb them up, but go beyond the doorway and on to the topmost step. Use the wall to find a megaarmor. (sector 527)
- In the meat grinder room itself, you can leap through the bloodfalls on either side of the arena (where the demons teleport in from) to be teleported to a lava cavern (sector 715) where you can nab a plasma gun.
- In the final room, one of the basins is nukage rather than blood. Enter it to get an energy cell, an energy cell pack and a medikit. (sector 689)
Bugs
Down in the room with the grinder, if you don't cross all the three lines and then hit the switch (linedef #630) to open the wall in front of the lift (sector #215), crossing the last lines will close definitely the wall: the switch is a one-way switch.

Trivia
There is a BFG9000 on this map which cannot be picked up without cheating. Near the end, at the red key switch, as you traverse the small crevice and step over a linedef, you will be teleported to a different area that looks just like the previous room. As soon as you cross over, there is a BFG9000 behind you - but moving back in that direction will teleport you back to the previous area.
