Please categorize new map articles as follows.

By title: (no ExMy or MAP##).  This is automatic if you use the "name=" parameter with map (see below).

By author: once for each credited designer.

By game title *IF* it is a commercial release (see Category:Stock levels).

If it is a secret level: .

If it is missing most of its walkthrough information: Level stub

Additionally, the map template below will automatically categorize it by slot (see Category:Levels by slot).  For single-level PWADs, add the parameter "nocat=true" to avoid this (otherwise Category:MAP01 would be swamped).  It will also automatically categorize the article by name, sorting it as if the specified slot was missing (see Category:Levels by name).  If the level title starts with "A" or "The", for proper sorting, add the parameter "name=X" where "X" is the name of the level without "A" or "The" at the beginning.

Kill the shotgun guys (and imps on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels) in front of you, then open either of the south-east doors to enter an L-shaped hallway with more of the same monsters as well as a Hell knight. Open the door in the south wall to get back outside and kill all the waiting monsters, including two mancubi on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) or higher, then press the skull switch at the west end, go back into the hallway and pass through the now-open west door before it shuts. You will now be in a straight corridor with a switch on the west wall - flip the switch to temporarily open the doors at either end, then go through the north door before it closes to enter a library with a super shotgun. The library has two barons of Hell on the north side (and a third by the door on UV and NM), and an arch-vile in the south-west corner (plus two knights on UV and NM) who is guarding the blue keycard.

Go back to the straight corridor and flip the switch again, then head through the south door to enter a room with a nukage pool and two blue key doors. Open either door and push past some imps and a chaingunner (plus knights on HMP or higher) to reach another switch and flip it, then return to the previous room to find that the east door has opened allowing you to enter a hall with a nukage fountain. Kill all the imps in this room and take the berserk pack, then open the east door to find the red key; approach it with caution as an arch-vile is concealed behind the fire wall at the back, and should be killed from outside the room as there is no cover inside it.

From the red key, press the lion switch on the north wall to get back outside and kill one to three waiting revenants, then go straight forward to a chaingun before pressing the skull switch on your left to lower some bars blocking your path. Return to the L-shaped corridor and open the red key door at the north end to confront a baron, then press the lion switch behind it to open the red bars in the starting area; this will also release two revenants to your right so be ready to fight them off. Go back to the starting point and walk through the now-open north doorway, kill the demons that appear directly in front of you then open the small door in the north-east corner to find more demons guarding a lift. Activate the lift and kill a waiting chaingunner (or revenant on UV and NM), then ride the lift up and push past some imps to get to another door. Open the door to find the yellow keycard, as well as another revenant on HMP or higher; beware the arch-vile that appears when you collect the key.

With the yellow key, ride the lift back down and dispose of two waiting barons, then go back outside and open the yellow key door in the north wall to face one or two knights who are protecting the exit door. Open this door to find a few zombies protecting the exit teleporter.

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Other points of interest[edit]

On HMP or higher, a rocket launcher is placed by the east wall of the nukage fountain. On I'm Too Young To Die and Hey Not Too Rough, the weapon is moved to the red key room.

Secrets[edit]

 1. In the library at the north-west end of the map, find the wall in the north-west corner with the picture and use it. A megasphere will lower. (sector 187)
 2. You need the blue key for this secret. After getting it, head to the L-shaped hallway just outside the starting point, and look for the panel with caution stripes. Open it and flip the switch behind it. Now run to the door to the south to the outside walkway and quickly run to the lift at the end, taking it up, then enter the white teleporter. You have ten seconds to reach it before it rises, so you may want to prepare ahead of time by opening the door before flipping the switch. If you do it right, you will appear on the megaarmor on top of the nukage fountain. (sector 162)
 3. In the hall just before the exit door, use the metal panel with the candle in front of it, which will make a supercharge appear outside. (sector 185)
