MAP15: Breaching the Source is the fifteenth map of Akeldama. It was designed by gaspe and uses the music track "Sinners of the Dark" by Paul Corfiatis (pcorf).

Secrets

  1. Take the steps north of the starting point, then use the switch to the right to raise the steps going left. Go all the way up, but look through the cage to the north to find a skull switch. Shoot it, then run back down the steps towards the previous switch, where a wall has opened leading to a soul sphere. (sector 103)
  2. Go up the eastern waterway to find a secret area with a plasma gun. (sector 253)
  3. In the round room at the west end of the map, enter the corridor to the north of the lift and flip the switch, then quickly run through the west door. Head south and use the terminal, which will lower. Flip the switch that you find behind it to re-open the door to the round room. Back here, the south wall has been lowered. Drop into the hole behind it and flip the switch to the west to open the bars to the south. You will see a BFG9000 here. Head south to the corner (near Secret #4 mentioned below) for the wall to open, then flip the switch you find and quickly run back to get the BFG9000. (sector 277)
  4. In Secret #2, open the northeast corner to reach a teleporter. This will take you to the southwest side of the map, where if you move forward a bit, the wall behind you will reveal imps, pain elementals, and a switch here that will help in accessing Secret #3. Shoot the wall to the east of the switch to get a soul sphere. (sector 289)
  5. In the hall west of the round room, head north and use the lift, then go up towards the blue gate that closes. Return to the hall and there will be a new one to the west which leads to a corridor. Take this corridor to reach the blue key, then backtrack to the previous corridor for a section to the west to be open, which has a teleporter. Take this teleporter to reach two backpacks and a megaarmor. (sector 385)
  6. In the northernmost area, going to the east side will open the doors there and let the monsters out. Head through the left door and go towards the red pillar, then head back to the big room and go to the south alcove. Follow the corridor to a switch which lowers the nearby teleporter. On the other side, collect the rockets and energy cells and use the switch. (sector 408)
  7. After you use the switch in the previous secret, return to the round room and go through the northeast passage until you reach a ledge with a terminal. Use this terminal to open a column, then go to where it was which will teleport you to the secret exit room. (sector 377)
