MAP16: The Grand Tower is the sixteenth map of The Abyss. It was designed by J.M.P van Waveren (MrElusive) and Miklos de Rijk (H2SO4) and uses the music track "".

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the courtyard at the start, take the east corridor and press on the wall with the ridge at the top to find a backpack. (sector 170)
  2. Go down the spiral staircase in the courtyard to the next hall, where an arrow points to a wall. The wall hides a switch you can use, so use it. Enter the next room, and next to the tech column there will be an opening with a soul sphere inside. (sector 54)
  3. In the same room as above, open the south side of the other column to find a megaarmor. (sector 82)
  4. Climb the steps in the room mentioned above and open the door leading to the next room with several terminals. Use the one in the southwest corner which will lower like a lift. At the bottom, the passage dumps out into a round room with health bonuses, and the switch here raises a spiral staircase leading to an invulnerability. (sector 59)
  5. Now use the same lift to ride all the way up to the top. Open the north wall to find a box of shotgun shells and rockets. (sector 63)
  6. In the room just outside the exit door, take the steps nearest to the exit door to the chaingunner compartment, and press on the indentation on the west wall to find an armor bonus and a shortcut back to the starting point. (sector 143)
