Secrets
- Near the start of the level, a room with two skull switches is visible, but blocked by two pillars to its south. The lefthand switch (as you face them) is shootable; it's possible to get your gun to the right height by looking into the switch room from the north. This switch raises the pillars. The righthand switch lowers a lift (sector 100) immediately to the northeast, but it's necessary to exit the switch room to the south and run completely around the lift to access it from its west side. The BFG9000 on the lift is also visible very soon after starting the level.
- After triggering an ambush in the northwest of the map by collecting a rocket launcher, two skull switches open up a teleporter to the next part of the map. The second of these switches has also revealed an alcove (sector 2) with a backpack concealed in two pillars in the room to the southeast with the crusher and 2x2 teleporter grid.
- Once you pass through that teleporter, there are some red-brick columns. The southernmost, near a ledge overlooking the previous area, can be triggered directly; it's a lift that lowers to reveal a green armour. (sector 396)
