MAP18: Gunman is the eighteenth map of Epic 2. It was designed by Alexander S. (Eternal) and uses the music track "". The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:30.

Essentials

Just like in the maps prior to this one, there is an instant death mechanic. If at the beginning you decide to fall out into space at the southern end of the map, you will instantly die. When you reach the bridge area near the northeast part of the map, falling anywhere beside the bridge will instantly kill you. If you decide to drop onto the bridge when it has not raised, you will also die. Make sure to raise the bridge in the nearby shack before going onto the bridge itself.

Secrets

  1. Once you hit the switch that opens the blue key room, exit the blue key building and go southeast to the air conditioning unit. Lower it to reach a sewer system where you will find shotgun shells. There is a lift here that will take you to a berserk pack outside. (sector 51)
  2. In the building near the air conditioning unit mentioned in Secret #1, climb the ladder and use the vent to get a stimpack and green armor. (sector 99)
  3. Just before reaching the big garage door leading to the big bridge, there is a rock wall with blood piles in front of it. Use it to reach a door which has a megasphere. (sector 311)
  4. Inside the building north of where the yellow key is located, make a running jump to the rock ledge to the west, then onto the platform where the arachnotron is. Open the garage door to find a large passageway, with a cyberdemon at the north end along with a BFG9000. Grabbing the BFG9000 locks away the cyberdemon (who will teleport to the exit room later on) and the nearby switch reveals another one at the south end of the passageway, allowing you to leave.
