Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

EssentialsEdit

This map is more of an open sandbox level. Approaching some areas will activate instant-rising floors full of monsters. Run past the barons and take the supplies just up the stairs. From here, you are able to take whatever route you choose. The best option is to activate as many aforementioned monster traps as possible and instigate infighting until the majority of the initial horde is cleared.

All six keys are present in this level - three are needed to access the fight in the lower central area, and another three to escape said fight.

Blue Skull Key

The blue key is accessible at the top of a tower in the southeast. Grabbing it will open a closet to the southeast full of pain elementals, arachnotrons, and an arch-vile. A spider mastermind is also present there on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare.

Red Skull Key

The red key is located in the northeast area. Grabbing it will lower a closet containing Hell knights, revenants, and some pinkies or an arch-vile depending on difficulty. Returning from this area will open a closet with an arch-vile and a lot of revenants (or imps on the easy difficulties).

Yellow Skull Key

The yellow key is located to the southwest. Press the eye switch to reveal imps accompanied by arch-viles (1, 2, or 6 depending on difficulty). In the far back the yellow key can be found on a lowered pillar.

Once all skull keys have been obtained, the player can access the central area down below. Activating all three switches will open all three closets at once, each containing one keycard. Once the monsters have been cleared and all keycards are obtained, you can press the switch between the stairs and leave the area. The exit is then accessible in the southeast.

Other points of interestEdit

SecretsEdit

  1. In the northwestern part of the map there's a low goop lake with a teleporter in its eastern end. It's possible to run into this area from the walkway to the south and land on the ledge at the northwest of the lake. (sector 607)
  2. In the southeastern corner of the map there's an L-shaped wall with towers. Going south of the westernmost point of the wall reveals the secret hidden behind it. (sector 614)

BugsEdit

A baron of Hell (Thing 587) in the south (behind five Hell knights) has no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so it does not actually appear in the level.
