MAP21: Hell's Maw is the twenty-first map of Heroes' Tales. It was designed by Shadowman and uses the music track " ".

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the starting area, the southwest and southeast corners have a switch you need to press, but in both rooms there is a hidden switch where a candle in the lower corner is located. Use the wall and use the switch behind it to open part of the secret. Afterwards, go south from the starting point to the wall where a skull switch will be revealed. You do not need to use the switch for the secret, just have it revealed. Once that is done, you can head into the alcoves east and west from the starting point to get some supplies. The one on the west side has a soul sphere. (sector 1202)
  2. The one on the east side contains an energy cell pack. (sector 1301)
  3. Walk through the firewall southwest of the blue key to get an invulnerability. (sector 1083)
  4. After getting the red key, return across the large bridge and after using the lift to go down there will be a new opening dead ahead. A switch is near the soul sphere, and this switch lowers a lift just behind the one you used to head down. Quickly use this switch, then approach the lift to lower it, then run through to find shotgun shells and an energy cell pack. Make sure you have the blue key for the next secret. (sector 670)
  5. With the blue key, open the blue door in Secret #4 to find a teleporter. Ignore the teleporter for now, but head to where the ammo clip is and turn south. Shoot the skull, then look north to get a megasphere. (sector 681)
  6. Now use the teleporter in Secret #5, which will take you to a small area with a switch. With that pressed, head back to the main room and this time through the right door (the same path that led to the blue key). Lower the lift to find shotgun shells and an energy cell pack in the room behind the lift. (sector 729)
  7. In Secret #6, use the red key on the door, then shoot the red skull near the ammo clip to get a BFG9000. (sector 1075)
