MAP22: Retour en le Nefarious Chateau is the twenty-second map of 1994 Tune-up Community Project. It was designed by Walter Confalonieri (daimon) and uses a MIDI version of "Alexander the Great" by Iron Maiden.

SecretsEdit

  1. Head down the left path at the start and go north when it bends. Enter the first room on the left and go down the steps until you see a red skull switch. Press it and go back up the steps. Several monster closets have opened up. Enter the northern one and press on the indented wall to reveal a passage leading to two stimpacks and a box of ammo. (sector 1931)
  2. A switch in one of the monster closets mentioned in Secret #1 opens a door near the starting point. Go to this open door into the next room and use the blue skull switch to lower a lift. Ride it all the way up and enter the teleporter. When you emerge, enter the room to your left and head up the steps. Spot a lion switch on the terrace here and shoot it. Drop into the courtyard and open the door back to the starting point to find the second door here is open. This area counts as a secret and has a lift leading up to a room with chaingunners and a barred-off area. (sector 127)
  3. On the high ledge overlooking the big nukage pool and bridge, from the lift in the southwest corner, look east to spot a blue skull on the high wall. Shoot at it, then jump to the southeast so you land on the bridge railing, then hop into the nukage at the east. The door here should be open, allowing you to get a green armor. (sector 1130)
  4. The lion switch mentioned in Secret #2 does more than just open the way to it. After shooting it and after obtaining the blue key, go back to the hallway left of the starting point and head north all the way to the furthest door on the left side. The lion switch will have opened this door. Open the next door and you will be on the balcony outside. The next door has another lion switch, which actually requires the blue key. After using it, head back to the main corridor and go south to the next door, which should now be open. The next door leads to one final lion switch, so press it, then return to Secret #2 and take the lift up. The barred off section should now be open. Go through it, but instead of heading outside, turn south and take the steps up. A flickering arrow points to the wall at the dead end. Open this wall to find partial invisibility. (sector 1986)
  5. In the crate room past the blue door, head to the northwest corner and press on the tucked-away crate to lower it. This leads to a strange area with a portal dead ahead. Enter this portal (do not fall into the void or you will be instantly killed) to wind up in the tower above the nukage, where you can get energy cells and a plasma gun. (sector 74)
