Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the office area, enter the southeasternmost room and use the big computer terminal to open a closet containing a chainsaw. (sector 104)
  2. Get out from the entrance to the office area and enter either of the doors on your left. There is a switch where the chaingunner is located, which when flipped opens a door at the east end of the first hallway. Inside is a berserk pack, a rocket launcher, a stimpack, and a medikit. (sector 164)
  3. In the crate-filled area, take the northwest steps up to the switch platform and press on the backside of the switch to lower a lift nearby. Take it up to get a berserk pack. (sector 309)
  4. In the crate-filled area, there is a wooden crate near the west side that you can lower on its north side. Ride it up, then look north and press on the orange crate to lower it. This should raise you up close enough that you can reach the soul sphere. (sector 305)
  5. The switch mentioned in Secret #3 reveals an alcove to the southeast. At the east end of the crate-filled area, you can flip a switch to ride a lift up, which will lead to the blue key. If you go just to the left of the fence and onto the orange crate, you can then jump to the gray crate to the south. From there you can open the inside of the adjacent brown crate to find a rocket launcher and some ammo for it. (sector 366)
  6. Head to the southwest corner of the crate-filled area and press on the stack of green crates in the alcove to open a secret area with a demon, partial invisibility, and a light amplification visor. (sector 297)
  7. In this same secret, you can press on the northern side of the green crate to open another lift. This will allow you to reach the megaarmor, energy cell pack, and plasma gun above. (sector 360)
  8. From the previous secret, you can jump east across the crates, but you will soon notice the steps leading towards the teleporter do not reach far enough. An arch-vile appears when you get to this crate, and you will need a boost to reach this teleporter, which takes you back to the hub area at the east end of the map, on top of a megasphere. (sector 689)
  9. In the town area, enter the damaging blood and find an arrow of armor bonuses pointing at a bloodfall. Use this to reveal a switch, then get out of there. Find the teleporter on the peninsula nearby to enter the square chambers in the middle of the map. Maneuever your way through this area until you reach the northeast square. When you are here, do not immediately head down to the open square to the south or it will close. You will have to take the long way around, towards the revenants in the back, in order to reach this secret square containing a BFG9000 and some ammo. (sector 559)
  10. The large skull switch in the exit room not only opens the exit, but also the teleporter in the westernmost building in the town area. This teleporter takes you to a secret area at the starting point containing partial invisibility, an invulnerability, a megasphere, and a computer area map. (sector 423)

Bugs[edit]

All eight deathmatch starts (Things 4 through 11) have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, but because of special handling in the engine, they function normally in the level.
