MAP24: Ring of Gyges is the twenty-fourth map of NOVA: The Birth. It was designed by Stygian and uses the music track "Ring of Gyges," by nub_hat.

Walkthrough

Map of Ring of Gyges

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. At the blue key building, go to the northeast corner and press on the wall, which will reveal a teleporter directly behind you. Take it to reach a ledge with ammo and a megasphere. (sector 103)
2. At the northernmost field, find the lone water pool, then use the slab of rock northeast of it to reach a higher ledge. Go behind the rocks to find a yellow key. (sector 151)
3. On the way to the blue key building, on the first level of the pyramid, go along the west side, looking for a computer area map below. When you find it, jump to it. (sector 249)
4. Head into the complex at the western side of the map and head to its north side, going west. Look towards the north wall as you do. You will eventually see a lit satyr switch, use it to find a teleporter. The teleporter takes you to a platform with a soul sphere and a health bonus. (sector 323)
5. From the starting point, you will see a marble structure dead ahead. Go to the field behind this marble structure, then climb the rocks leading southwest to the white rock. Afterwards, go up the rocks to the north and onto the marble structure itself. You will find an invulnerability and an armor bonus. (sector 370)
6. Climb the steps to the platform with the arachnotron, then find the metal column. Behind it, press the lion switch, then quickly run west to the lowered lift. Along the path are health and armor bonuses, and at the end is an energy cell pack. (sector 531)
