MAP26: Egyptian Metaphysics is the twenty-sixth map of Ancient Aliens. It was designed by Richard Frei (Tarnsman) and uses the music track "Tales of Old," composed by Stuart Rynn (stewboy). The par time is 5:00.

Secrets[edit]
- After completing the small, southeast section of the map with the grey water and the plasma gun, return to the teleporter in the northeast corner. When you emerge, quickly run northwest to a lowered lift. The passage (sector 68) takes you to the BFG 9000 platform.
- Over on the southwest part of the main area is an area with purple lava. Go north of here and onto the blue-floored area, then climb the steps up. From the top of those steps, head southwest, then look southeast for a skull switch. Shoot this switch then move back to the purple lava to find a new opening. Go through here for stimpacks, armor bonuses, and a soul sphere (sector 1004). You can leave through the teleporter to avoid the lava.
- This secret is the rocky island in the northeast part of the map (sector 1043). It is accessible by two teleporters. One is located just southwest of where the blue key is located, while another is south of the path that is north of the blue key (northeast of Secret #3 and northeast of the blue-floored area with the super shotgun). You will find stimpacks, rockets, energy cells, and a soul sphere.
- On your way to the blue key at the northern side of the main area, if you look east towards the rocky island you'll spot a monitor screen between the trees. Shoot this one, then make your way to the blue key area. Look to the west on the ledge with the key and there should be an open passage. Follow the path of rockets to a megasphere. (sector 378)
Bugs[edit]
The monsters in the closets with the shared sector 1309 that make up the ambush in the area with the teal floor past the slime pit at the western edge of the starting area can fail to teleport if a teleport destination gets blocked, as their closets rely on conveyor belts moving unalerted monsters and none of them have a failsafe looping mechanism. This is primarily a concern for multiplayer co-op where players can stand in an unassuming spot and block the teleporters, but monsters can also ascend the stairs to this area for the same effect.
