MAP26: The Waste Tunnels is the twenty-sixth map of The Long Trek Back Home. It was designed by hervoheebo, based on MAP05: The Waste Tunnels from Doom II by American McGee, and uses an edited version of the original music track "DOOM" by Robert Prince, distinct from the one used on MAP18: Downtown.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the southwest part of the map, head east of the pool and northwest to a lift. Take it all the way up and shoot the switch to the west. Drop down and head west to a wall that opened to get a shotgun, and if you head south, you can get a medikit and a megaarmor. (sector 150)
  2. In Secret #1, look north of the shotgun and shoot the switch. After doing this, head to the outside section and head northwest, climbing the steps. Head south at the top to get rocket launchers and a plasma gun. (sector 401)
  3. Get the red key, then return to the starting area. Head behind the starting point and south to a switch. Flip it to lower a lift with a rocket launcher. (sector 115)
  4. At the southernmost end, flip the switch to the north to re-enter the starting area. Climb the steps and take the teleporter to the south to reach an area further north. Drop off for the floor behind you to lower. Go back and collect the energy cell pack and shotgun shells. (sector 285)
  5. In the red brick area at the northeast end, head to the east door and head through the north wall to get two backpacks. (sector 468)
  6. Head northwest through a cave and all the way west across the lava, going through a wall to the west to find a megasphere. (sector 363)
  7. At the north end, ride the southwest platform up, then jump to a ledge to the west. Head west and south to get an invulnerability. (sector 42)
  8. At the north end of the red brick area at the northeast end, use the wall to the north with a candle in front of it for a switch. This opens a wall to the south revealing energy cells. (sector 474)
  9. From Secret #8, head southeast through a wall to get to a yellow key. After getting this, head back to the south side of the red brick area, heading south from the fence where the yellow key was to get a BFG9000. (sector 280)
