MAP29: Spinal Trap is the twenty-ninth map of NJ Doom2. It was designed by Nigel Rowand (Enjay). It is based on E3M7 of NJ Doom.

SecretsEdit

  1. Near the start is an area with a marble floor. There is a secret door in the north of this room (marked with some blood on the wall) leading to a megaarmor and a soul sphere. On multiplayer there is also a box of bullets. (sector 187)
  2. The first lava maze has a building with nine health bonuses on its west side. There is a secret door on the south wall of this building (marked with a different texture) leading to a computer area map, a soul sphere, and a radiation shielding suit. On multiplayer there are also three more radiation shielding suits, a rocket launcher, and three rockets. (sector 194)
  3. In the east is a room with a plasma rifle that has three alcoves on each side of the north-south corridor. Pressing the eastern end of any of the eastern alcoves (which have a different texture) opens all of them, revealing a room with an invulnerability, a backpack, and three energy cell packs. (sector 192)
  4. In the north of the level is a room with an octagonal pillar in the centre and four small triangles of light on the floor, two of which are by switches. Pressing the wall by the eastern one opens up a secret door leading to a room with a stimpack, 0-2 spectres, nine health bonuses, nine armor bonuses, and (on multiplayer) a chaingun. (sector 165)
  5. Pressing the wall by the western patch of light (see #4) leads to a room with 0-2 spectres and (on medium on hard skills) a chainsaw. (sector 167)
  6. In the north-west of the level is a large lift at the top of which are several imps and two berserks. There is a secret door (marked with a different texture) to the east at the top of the lift, leading to an energy cell pack and a BFG9000 (latter not present on easy skill). (sector 180)
  7. Lowering the lift in #6 reveals a room to the south containing an energy cell pack and a soul sphere. (sector 185)
