MAP30: Megiddo is the thirtieth and final map of NOVA: The Birth. It was designed by Michael Kilderry (kildeth), Darryl Steffen (dobu gabu maru), Matt Powell (cannonball), Cyriak Harris (mouldy) and Collin Pierce (Arjak), and uses the music track "Silent Screams," by Rob Halford, arranged for MIDI by Paul D.

SecretsEdit

  1. At the main hub, go to the southwestern portal, but enter it from the backside. You will teleport to the rocks at the northeastern part of the rocky section which functions as a shortcut. (sector 694)
  2. At the large arena section (done by cannonball), head for the eastern part of this section and once you have opened it, take the northern door. At the far end, where the switch is, look the west wall and go there, then look south to find a tucked-away button. Use it, then go all the way to the southeastern part of this section. A teleporter to the west is now available. Take it to find energy cell packs and a megasphere. Flipping the switch reveals three hordes of zombiemen. (sector 877)
  3. Behind the portal which leads to the small hellish cavern (done by Arjak) is an energy cell pack. (sector 985)
  4. In the section filled with map snippets from previous maps (done by dobu gabu maru), from the Outpost section, try to open the door and the two walls nearby open up. Take the right side, then open the wall with pipes nearby. You will open up a section of the map reminiscent of Riptide. (sector 1523)
  5. From the previous secret, head all the way into the dilapidated building, using the small lift to ride up. You can grab the supplies here, but to get the next secret, head to the top of the steps and press on the misaligned wall to find another lift. Take it up and then drop down on the east side of the building. To the southwest is a teleporter taking you to the combat room from Iron Exuviae. (sector 1642)
  6. In the small hellish cavern (done by Arjak), the first switch you come across has a switch on its backside. Press it to open up a cave below. Jump to the lava and enter this cave just to the north of the switch to find a plasma gun, megasphere, and backpack. (sector 3092)

BugsEdit

In the section filled with map snippets from previous maps (done by dobu gabu maru), if you go to the building beyond Secret #4 (en route to Secret #5), and use the second lift to reach the top of the dilapidated building, it is possible to climb the broken pieces of rooftop and jump directly west through the southwest opening, to the west side of the building. However, there is nothing of note here and it is not possible to get out of this region without using cheats.
