MAP30: The End is the thirtieth and final map of Ancient Aliens. It was designed by Paul DeBruyne (skillsaw) and uses the music track "Yuletide," composed by Stuart Rynn (stewboy). The par time is 1:00.

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

EssentialsEdit

There are no enemies to fight on this level. Move to the east and admire the thank you message. You can also pick up the health bonuses that look like drinks on the bar if you want. Move through the waterfall on the end, and follow the path around and past the pyramid under construction. When you reach the top of the stairs, enter the teleporter into another spirit corridor. Listen to the message, and at the end you'll be teleported back to the room with the pipe in MAP01. Attempt to leave the room for a surprise, and the level will end.

TriviaEdit

• The recording that plays while the player is moving along the conveyor belt inside the map's only secret is a recording of ufologist Giorgio A. Tsoukalos from an episode of the American TV series Ancient Aliens. The quote is a popular example of the apparent irrationality and pseudoscientific nature of many of the claims espoused by Tsoukalos and others on the show with regards to extraterrestrial beings visiting and shaping ancient human civilizations.
• The text screen before the cast sequence consists of an image from the well-known TV series X-Files, showing FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, the main protagonists of the show, supposedly discussing the plot of the game. In the text, which was written by dew, Mulder alleges that he dreamed the whole experience, including the smoking of the peyote pipe at the beginning of MAP01—rendering the events of the game a dream within a dream—but nonetheless wants to believe that what he saw was a clue to some sort of conspiracy involving extraterrestrial beings, despite Scully's efforts to convince him of the obvious flaws in his arguments before eventually losing her patience and dismissing his conclusions with "Oh god, whatever."
