Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Drop into the moat at the start and, a bit to the left, open the metal wall with pipes to reveal a switch. The switch reveals another switch at the east end of the moat across the rectangular blocks which will lower a few barricades in the mansion. (sector 162)
  2. Head into either door into the horseshoe-shaped hallway of the mansion. Go up a bit to hear a lift lower. Go back and enter the room in the middle of the horseshoe to discover a switch on the right side. After flipping it, go into the right side of the horseshoe hallway to find a Hell knight (does not appear on Ultra-Violence or higher) and another switch; this one lowering a circular lift leading up to a soul sphere. (sector 179)
  3. At the southeast part of the mansion, enter the room with the lift leading to the gargoyle switch and go to the northwest part of the room, opening the room with electricity symbols on it for a megasphere and two boxes of ammo. (sector 224)
  4. On the east side of the damaging moat, a red arrow points to a wall which functions as a lift. Take it up then hug the wall, being sure to press use on the wall with the electricity symbol on it. This reveals a switch around the corner, which will open a door which counts as the secret. To reach this door, take the steps on the other side of the cage up to the door or go two rooms north of Secret #3 and then up the steps, the open door should be there. (sector 207)
  5. The small outdoor courtyard with the cyberdemon on the east side of the map has a secret which will allow you to reach the blue key. Look at the west wall and find the section on the left side with the single electricity symbol. Press it to lower the nearby column, then ride it up. Shoot the switch to the east to raise a path and follow it to the end, where the last column will lower you back to the courtyard. Quickly press the switch in the northwest corner here to get the blue keycard. Note that only the first column you step on counts as a secret. (sector 247)
  6. At the north part of the mansion, look into the moat on the right side to spot some candles. In the alcove just north of those candles, open the metal wall and follow the invisible bridge to a switch. This opens a teleporter to the east, taking you to the red rocks in the middle of the mansion, where another switch here opens the way to the secret exit. (sector 342)
  7. On the left side of the mansion entrance, a dark arrow points at a wall you can open. Open it and use the lift to go up. Make sure you have flipped the switch in Secret #1 first, then press on the metal wall with pipes next to the gap. Jump down the gap after hearing the lift lower and enter the alcove to the right to find another lift leading up to a switch, opening the way up to the room to the northeast. (sector 124)
  8. Enter the room mentioned in Secret #7 and press on the wall with the electricity symbol on it to find a switch. This blue switch is one of the switches needed to access the secret exit. (sector 153)
  9. The switch that opens up the room where Secret #8 is also opens up an alcove just north of the switch. The switch inside this alcove lowers a lift as well, but it will be tough to reach. What you need to do is use the rectangular lift to the north to lower it, then run back as quickly as you can to the switch, then back to the lift, riding it all the way up. Now head west to the lift and ride it up for some chaingunners and a teleporter. This teleporter takes you to the red rocks in the middle of the mansion, this time on the left side. The switch here lowers a teleporter leading to the red switch. (sector 304)
  10. Go north from the rectangular lift mentioned in Secret #9 and then east, flipping the switch to raise the steps if they have not been raised already. You may hear a noise coming from the wall with the health bonus in front of it. Shoot the spectre behind this fake wall and head through the passage. (sector 200)
  11. At the end of the passage mentioned in Secret #10, instead of flipping the switch, press on the wall with pipes to find a megaarmor. An arrow of blood points to another wall that can be opened, and from here you can access the crate room. (sector 220)
  12. From Secret #11, lower the brown crate and jump north to a soul sphere. (sector 211)
  13. From Secret #11, lower the brown crate and jump southeast towards the vent and small set of crates. Press use on the small set to reveal another switch, and flipping it lowers the crate behind you revealing the red key. (sector 218)
  14. Go to the end of the passage in Secret #10, or take the lift up from the hallway on the east side of the map. Go all the way to the red door, and then towards the wall to the west. There is a small green button you can use here, which will reveal a megasphere. (sector 349)
  15. After getting the red key from Secret #13 and flipping the switch in the red rocks mentioned in Secret #9, head to the metal hallway on the east side of the map to find that the southernmost pillar has been lowered. This is a teleporter taking you to the red switch, which is needed to access the secret exit. (sector 345)
  16. At the small shack on the west side of the map, you can jump out of the southwest window onto the ledge with the blue door. By going through the rooms that follow, you will get the yellow keycard, which is needed for the switch in the courtyard on the east side of the map (use the smallest tree there to reveal the yellow switch). (sector 307)
  17. At the northern end of the mansion where all the Hell knights are, find the wall where the caution stripes are and use it to lower a BFG9000. (sector 364)
