Trivia[edit]

  • The map's name "Wolfenpein" translates into German as "agony/pain of (a) wolf/wolves", with "Pein" also rhyming with "Stein" (stone), as in "Wolfenstein". The word "Pein" is considered somewhat archaic in Standard German, with "Schmerz" (pain) and "Qual" (agony) being far more common, unless when used in a poetic context, a historical setting or humorously.
