MAP34: Credits is the other bonus level of Eternal Doom. It was designed by Dietmar Westerteicher and Ty Halderman. It is contained in a separate WAD file CREDITS.WAD, which must be loaded along with ETERNAL.WAD. It occupies the MAP01 slot.

Overview

Map of CREDITS

Credits is a simple gallery-style map using the floating Eternal Doom text windows to credit members of the project with a few instances of humorous graffiti on the walls and a shrine to John Romero, the "God of Doom". His head can be destroyed to exit the level.

Walkthrough

This map has no true hazards to deal with. When you start out, run and grab the yellow key from the balcony featuring Rich Nagel's name. The red key is located in the structure at the center of the hexagonal courtyard. "Use" the platform on which the glowing core stands to lower it to the floor, and walk behind to grab the red key. You need to walk up to the windows in the windowed hallway to get the credits to raise. Romero's head is sitting on top of a pillar down the stairs at the very end. You can either kill it with the pistol to end the level, or jump into the pit of coals, which is sector type 11 (ends the level when the player's health drops below 11%).
