This level occupies the map slot E1M1. For other maps which occupy this slot, see Category:E1M1.

Megawatt (MEGAWATT.WAD) is a single-level PWAD designed by Casey Miller. It was originally released April 3, 1994, and stood out from its contemporaries due to its size and difficulty. A revised version with bug fixes and difficulty settings followed a few weeks later (that file's time stamp is April 18).

Megawatt appears on Maximum Doom as MEGAWAT2.WAD, E1M6 of EP4B.WAD, E1M7 of NEWDOOM.WAD, MAP10 of #1DWANGO.WAD, MAP01 of DEATHM2.WAD, E3M6 of DMATCH42.WAD, MAP05 of E132.WAD, MAP05 of LORD2.WAD, MAP08 of NEWHITS2.WAD, and MAP17 of WADPAK12.WAD.

Secrets

  1. At the start, shoot the middle section of the wall on your right. It opens, revealing a shotgun. (sector 2)
  2. Shoot the back wall of #1. It opens, revealing a plasma gun. Both the door and the grey-floored section of the plasma gun room count as secrets. (sector 51)
  3. See #2. (sector 52)
  4. From the start, turn right and go through the door. You will reach a room with a staircase - the western section of this room has a secret door on its southern wall leading to a room with a medikit, a chaingun, 4 shotgun shells and a switch. The switch raises a section of floor in the red key area, allowing the monsters in this area (on medium and hard skills) to be killed more easily. (sector 15)
  5. After getting the blue key, go through the blue door to the north-east. It leads across a nukage pit to a lowering platform (there is a baron of Hell here on hard skill), behind which is a door. This door leads to a medikit, four shotgun shells, and three shotgun guys. (sector 49)
  6. Just before the door leading to the final nukage area is a secret door on the east wall which can be opened by shooting. It leads to a backpack, an energy cell, and a BFG9000. (sector 151)

Bugs

It is possible to get trapped if you jump down to the yellow key area without having first approached the teleporter to open up the door at the top of the nearby lift (sector 85).
