Doom games
The monsters of Doom can be classified into two groups: the former humans possessed by demonic forces, and the demonic monsters monsters (or hellspawn) originating in hell or arriving from there.
Doom
Doom II RPG
The Doom RPG prequel sequel Doom II RPG has almost the same enemy entity set as Doom RPG, but adds a few of its own(both new and old), even adding a few boss entities(such as the spiderdemon and the cyberdemon). The game adds the following unique NPCs:
* Sawcubus class** Lesser Sawcubus** Greater Sawcubus** Chainstrosity* Watcher class** Brier** Watcher** Sentinel
In addition to the new classes of enemies the game has two new boss class entities; the Pinkynator and VIOS.
The 2016 Doom game saw some new monster designs, though the majority are remastered designs of the monsters from Doom and Doom II. Many of Doom 3's monster designs were scrapped in favor of making the monsters resemble their appearances in the classic games. The following monsters return:
* Baron of Hell: Reminiscent of its classic version and able to attack with energy bolts and a ground slam in addition to strong melee attacks. * Cacodemon: The cacodemon spits orbs of toxic bile that blind whoever they hit, making them vulnerable to a deadly bite. * Cyberdemon: A heavily armored cyborg which supplements its rocket barrages with energy waves and a powerful laser cannon.
* Hell knight: It retains a design similar to the one in Doom 3, but has become a powerful melee-only attacker.
* Imp: Significantly faster than prior incarnations of the Imp, it can now charge up its fireballs for more damage, perform leaping strikes, and climb up walls. * Lost soul: A suicide attacker that explodes when it reaches its target. * Mancubus: Similar to its Doom II version, but now has a flamethrower it can use at close range. * Pinky: Resembling their classic counterparts, Pinkies attack by blindly charging at full speed in an attempt to trample anything in front of them. While resilient, they cannot turn in the middle of a charge.
* Possessed: The equivalents of zombies and former humans.
** Possessed scientist: The most common type of Possessed, limited to basic melee attacks that pose little threat. ** Possessed engineer: Embedded with explosives that detonate when it is killed. ** Possessed soldier: Armed with a rapid-firing gun, which can fire charged shots for more damage..** Possessed security: Armed with a shotgun and carries a shield that blocks most frontal attacks.* Revenant: Now equipped with a jetpack that it can use to perform aerial assaults. * Spectre: Semi-invisible Pinkies that sneak up on their victims to attack but are not averse to charging either. * Spider Mastermind: The final boss, capable of attacking with both a devastating plasma weapon and its own psychic powers.
The following monsters were introduced in Doom (2016):
* Cyber-mancubus: An armored cyborg mancubus with significantly more health and higher damage output. It lacks the mancubus's flamethrowers, but it has a longer range and the projectiles it fires leave behind pools of poison when they hit the ground.
* Harvester: A multiplayer exclusive creature that can conjure electric beams.
* Hell guard: A golem-like boss controlled by a parasite which protects the Crucible.
* Hell razer: An enemy with an arm cannon that shoots lasers at the player.
* Prowler: A multiplayer exclusive melee-only creature with powerful instant-kill attacks.
* Summoner: A demon that summons other demonsand can teleport to avoid fire. It is inspired by the classic arch-vile.
* Unwilling: An unarmed cannon fodder zombie that appears primarily in Hell. They are similar in concept to the bony zombie of Doom 3.

Doom Eternal
Many of the Doom (2016) monsters reappeared in Doom Eternal, along with several re-imagined versions of classic monsters and entirely new ones.

* Arch-vile: In addition to summoning monsters like the buff totem, the arch-vile possesses a potent shield and can fight with deadly hellfire attacks. However, it cannot attack and shield itself at the same time.
* Arachnotron: The arachnotron can cling to walls and ceilings, and attacks with a plasma gun and grenades. If forced into melee, it can use a claw swipe.
* Baron of Hell: The baron of Hell now wields twin flaming swords, enabling it to strike from a longer distance.
* Cacodemon
* Cyber-mancubus
* Hell knight
* Imp
* Mancubus
* Lost soul
* Pain elemental: The pain elemental can now attack directly by throwing lost souls like grenades, and can also command them to protect it from attack.
* Prowler
* Revenant
* Soldier (Blaster): A new version of the classic zombieman combined with the attacks and mobility of the possessed soldier from Doom (2016) as well as a jump pack.
* Soldier (Shield): A new version of the classic shotgun guy combined with the attacks and mobility of the possessed security from Doom (2016).

The following monsters were introduced in Doom Eternal:

* Buff totem: An environmental entity that constantly summons powered-up monsters until the player pulls it out of the ground.
* Carcass: A cyborg zombie that can generate a shield to protect allies.
* Dread knight: A Hell knight enhanced with cybernetics and armed with energy blades.
* Doom hunter: A half-hover tank, half-demon abomination armed with multiple weapons systems.
* Gargoyle: A small, flying demon that attacks with claws and toxic spit.
* Gladiator: A demon resembling a larger Baron of Hell, which attacks with a flail and shield.
* Icon of Sin: Originally appearing in Doom (2016) as an Easter egg, the Icon of Sin appears as a major antagonist in Doom Eternal. It now possesses a full body and appears to be at least the size of a large building.
* Marauder: An elite demon born from a traitorous Night Sentinel. It is armed with a Super Shotgun and an Argent battle-axe, and is highly resistant to all damage unless attacked at a specific time.
* Maykr drone: An automated weapon that serves the Maykrs.
* Tentacle: An environmental entity that comes from the ground and hits the player by surprise.
* Tyrant: A new demon visually inspired by the classic cyberdemon.
