The Oracle is a character from Strife. He is a blue-skinned man who floats in the air in a brown robe and a green mask. He uses The Order's soldiers as guardians. A Spectre can be seen floating at the ceiling of the Oracle's room. The Oracle himself is very weak and harmless, literally having only 1 Hit Point, but when killed, the Spectre will attack the player.

Spoiler Warning: Plot details follow.

The Oracle is also a source of information for the player after the Programmer is destroyed in the Order's castle. He sends the player to kill the Bishop. After returning, he tells the player that Macil is one of the enemy. The player can choose at this point whether to kill Macil and listen to the Oracle, or to go with Macil and be convinced that the Oracle is the main enemy. The path taken here affects the "good" ending of Strife.

If Macil is killed first, the worst of the two good endings is presented. The player will not be able to travel to the Processing Factory that turns humans to Acolytes, as the Oracle will send the player directly to the Loremaster. After killing the Loremaster, the player will have to kill the Oracle to get the last Sigil piece.

If the player goes with Macil and decides after talking to him to kill the Oracle, they are given a Stamina/Accuracy boost. Killing the Oracle at this point will lead to the best ending, as Macil sends the player to a factory where a cure for the virus in the story is found, and Blackbird's true appearance will be revealed.
