Unlike the authors' previous projects that rely on an external weapon pack, [https://zandronum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5344 Eon Weapons], ProgDuel directly integrated it. The project started as a collection of 5 maps in early 2015, as exploring new grounds for newschool 1 on 1 game play, again taking advantage of advanced port features such as [[3D floor]]s, [[ACS]] scripts, and no-stop teleports to promote the newschool duel game play which includes jumping, freelook, and item respawning. In 2017 it was picked up again, ditching 2 of the original 5 maps, and creating 13 more along with a hub . The mod was a [[Cacowards 2017]] winner in the multiplayer category.

Progressive Duel 2, also known as ProgDuel, is a PK3 file for the deathmatch (specifically 1-on-1) game mode, released on December 4, 2017 for Zandronum. It was led by Ru5tK1ng and supported by the Mechanix Union along with some invited guests. Unlike the authors' previous projects that rely on an external weapon pack, Eon Weapons, ProgDuel directly integrated it.

The project started as a collection of five maps in early 2015, as exploring new grounds for newschool 1-on-1 game play, again taking advantage of advanced port features such as 3D floors, ACS scripts, and no-stop teleports to promote the newschool duel game play which includes jumping, free-look, and item respawning.

In 2017 it was picked up again, ditching two of the original five maps, and creating 13 more along with a hub. The mod was a Cacowards 2017 winner in the multiplayer category.
