RestlessRodent (formerly GhostlyDeath) (born July 6, 1989, 34 years old) is the maintainer of the ReMooD source port.
His first experience with Doom was with the Doom95 source port in 1996 at the age of 7. At this age even I'm Too Young To Die proved difficult. Up until 2001 his primary methods of playing Doom were: Vanilla Doom, Doom95, and Playstation Doom. During 2000 and 2001 he usually played cooperative over a dial-up modem using Doom95, completing all of The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, TNT: Evilution, and The Plutonia Experiment with a friend on Ultra Violence. Until the discovery of Doom Legacy in 2001 he was oblivious to the fact that the source code had been released and Doom has been extended by others. After playing Doom Legacy online with his friend, the port was set aside for other games such as StarCraft: Brood War. It was years until he again wanted to play Doom again online. By 2005 search engines were more fruitful in their results and as such, searching for "Doom Online" (in an attempt to rediscover Doom Legacy) lead to Doom Connector. He has been a part of the community since then. The ports which he had an active presence in included first Doom Legacy, then ZDaemon, then Skulltag, then Odamex. However as of 2015 he no longer plays multiplayer Doom.

Programming projects
Other than ReMooD, he has worked on a multitude of other projects.
- Chocorenderlimits which is a Chocolate Doom fork to display openings, visplanes, and various other rasterizer related data.
- GPL Skulltag Master - an open source option for hosting a private master server for the defunct Skulltag source port by reverse engineering the server side portion of the protocol after a release of the client side protocol.
- Simple Doom Editor - A cross-platform level editor which has never come to full fruitition. He left development to Blzut3 and Evan.
- Strawberry Doom - a Chocolate Doom modification intended to add more features to the base game while still remaining compatible; he no longer works on this project.
Programming contributions
Odamex
He was formerly a developer for the Odamex source port. He helped develop the banning and whitelist system, notifications when joining and leaving a game, randomized map lists, spectating, and the ability to see the player that one is looking at. He joined the team on Friday, May 30, 2008 and left the team on Friday, January 16, 2009.
Released levels
In the year 2000, he discovered the ability to create user made levels with the DEU utility. Since DUE lacked the ability to create levels for Doom II, he created a modified version of the source code for his own needs along with better understanding the C programming language by adding support for the creation of levels for Doom II. However, soon after a workable prototype he discovered that there was a Windows port called WinDEU with the aformentioned feature.
He has only released two maps:
- GhostlyDeath's Ultimate Deathmatch (2005 - Date based on forum post)
- GhostlyDeath's Ultimate Deathmatch 2 (2005 - Date based on forum post)
He has also contributed the following levels:
