I think this is right about modern levels being called "1994 levels" if they are in the same style. Certainly the newstuff chronicles seems to refer to levels this way. Can anyone confirm? Fraggle 14:14, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)
It seems like a sort-of modern trend to do so, not sure how justified it is. UAC_DEAD is from 1994, and is above current par. -- 128.240.229.7 10:12, 5 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Prominent 1994 levelsEdit
In my recent search for notable levels from 1994 not named in this list, I came across the following mods, which I thought about writing up, but decided to hold off for now. Can anyone else provide some insight as to whether these are (or aren't) considered all-time classics?
- OCTAGON.WAD
- Invasion series (INVADE1.WAD, INVADE2.WAD, plus a third map whose name I don't know. Are there more?)
- E1L1KP.WAD (claims a similar origin to E2M1ED.WAD but not really discussed on the newsgroups)
- 666.WAD and sequels
