: Not to my knowledge but she may well have some of this material herself given that she keeps releasing more and more of it. It's also really hard to search periodicals from the period as most of them were never archived physically, let alone digitized. The few exceptions require linking to what could be considered pirate or "mag warez" sites so I wouldn't discuss those here. --[[User:Quasar|Quasar]] ([[User talk:Quasar|talk]]) 10:29, 29 December 2015 (CST)

There is no fullscreen mode in this version, even with the cheat the screen is cropped. I will upload screenshots of all 6 resolutions later.--Cybdmn 13:43, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Promotional stills[edit]

Would there be objections to uploading these pictures on fair-use grounds to illustrate the article? --Gez (talk) 13:41, 28 May 2015 (CDT)

Wow, that is really... special.  (Good on citing Burger Becky too.)  We've a precedent which IMO applies here, because the images are even less reproducible in this case, and convey a sense of the period at least as forcefully as a thousand words.  :>     Ryan W (talk) 17:26, 28 May 2015 (CDT)
Probably worth noting that Burger Becky's statement is contradicted somewhat by the Usenet posting. There was apparently *some* kind of video, even if it was never part of the game. Evidently ADI was at E3 that year showing off what they "intended" to do with Doom. Since the developer wouldn't have had anything to do with this, she may not even be fully aware of it. We of course cannot know if these stills have any relationship to what was shown at E3 or not, unless somebody uncovers a mag article or other evidence. --Quasar (talk) 22:44, 28 May 2015 (CDT)
In the absence of objections, I have uploaded all three pictures and added them to the article. I figured "Doom material, other software, commercial" was the most appropriate category. --Gez (talk) 06:17, 29 May 2015 (CDT)

Weapons?[edit]

In her vlog about her experience porting it, Burger Becky mentioned that the company had drawn up a bunch of assets, including weapons (in .jpg), that they had showed off to people and magazines, thinking they would be easy to implement. Does there exist scans or anything of this material anywhere? Was any of it ever published? 90.236.14.20 19:54, 23 December 2015 (CST)

Not to my knowledge but she may well have some of this material herself given that she keeps releasing more and more of it. It's also really hard to search periodicals from the period as most of them were never archived physically, let alone digitized. The few exceptions require linking to what could be considered pirate or "mag warez" sites so I wouldn't discuss those here. --Quasar (talk) 10:29, 29 December 2015 (CST)
