Texture sources

Snakeskin boot texture: I don't know if the texture name is what we should base ourselves for determining which texture was made from a photo of snakeskin leather, because the SNAK* textures really don't look like snakeskin at all. In fact, there isn't in Doom any texture that looks like snakeskin. (Personally the SNAK* textures always reminded me more of octopus tentacles.) As for the knee wound texture, I strongly suspect SKINSCAB, the upper bit of the central panel does look a lot like a zoomed-in photo of an actual scab. --Gez (talk) 18:08, 22 November 2015 (CST)

The SNAK prefix made me initially confident I'd found the texture that was being referenced, but then I saw the sketches from the texture dump. There is another greenish texture in the dump that looks like it could be snakeskin, but it appears to be unused. Fraggle (talk) 18:16, 22 November 2015 (CST)
I am almost sure the scab one was confirmed by Romero at some point. --Quasar (talk) 01:51, 23 November 2015 (CST)

Is Music Considered Artwork?

As per the subject/headline, would you consider music to also be a form of artwork? GhostlyDeath 15:02, 24 November 2015 (CST)

No. We already have other pages documenting the musical influences behind the game and there's no sense in mixing up what are clearly different topics. Fraggle (talk) 15:35, 24 November 2015 (CST)
I see. On another note, there is Category:Resources which includes Category:Audio (which includes Category:Music), perhaps to make this page easier to find and some other art related stuff such as Cover art that a new category be proposed, perhaps Category:Graphical Art (or similar)?
