I know that ZDoom is one of the popular modding ports, but is it right to imply that only it's modding features are 'advanced'? 'advanced' is a very vague term.

:There is no such implication. GZDoom Builder just happens to be focused on ZDoom and GZDoom, but it could be used with other ports which have some features in common. For instance, its ability to load and display models in 3D mode can be useful for a Doomsday or Risen3D map, and with the right configuration its 3D floor editing feature might possibly be made to work with Legacy or EDGE. --[[User:Gez|Gez]] 10:02, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Just a thought..

Personally I don't see any need for this. There's already an Editors page, so why is this needed? The title "Choosing a Level Editor" implies that it's supposed to help make the task of choosing a level editor easier, rather than just listing the editors (which has already been done).

I agree on that. That list of editors is the most complete and there should not be 2 lists of editors. How do you want to help the user choosing an editor? You could go by each editor and list its features, but can you list them objective enough? CodeImp 20:38, 8 Feb 2005 (GMT)

This page is not redundant. Editors should provide a comprehensive list of editors, as well as history, etc.; this page should strive to avoid overwhelming the reader with that kind of information. It is probably enough to list the 3-5 most popular editors here, along with a few pros and cons. It doesn't need to be long -- in fact, it shouldn't be. Fredrik 20:45, 8 Feb 2005 (GMT)

What I don't like about the rewrite is that it no longer gives much useful advice to someone who doesn't know any editors and just wants to find something decent to get started with. Fredrik 10:56, 24 Feb 2005 (GMT)

I know that ZDoom is one of the popular modding ports, but is it right to imply that only it's modding features are 'advanced'? 'advanced' is a very vague term. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.181.145.255 (talkcontribs) 09:35, 13 February 2014 (GMT).
