I believe that this item functions either by adding one armor point (internally 5 points IIRC) to the strength of each of the four armor items that the player can have (helmet, amulet, mesh armor, shield), or a similar method involving boosting the "real" armor items (rather than the bracers using their own pool of armor points), but have not confirmed this from source. -- ETTiNGRiNDER (talk) 05:03, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
